Track of the Week: Northside: Take 5(Reflex Revision)

It’ll blow ya mind, do it every time..

This week is a remix – revisit of a proper shiiine on tune! A bit of an anthem that is soaked in memories and good feeling for so many of us.

After initial small steps of the band finding their live feet again with a few dates earlier in the year, things are starting to turn up a notch and the wheels are starting to spin again.

The first piece of action is the remix of the glorious Take 5 by the Reflex. This new version forms part of a very ltd edition 12” vinyl that also has new mixes of Shall We Take A Trip. The vinyl has now sold out in most stockist to date, so you will need a bit of a shift on and do some searching – keep an eye on the band’s socials for updates!

Take 5 reached number 40 in 1991 when the band were invited for an appearance on Top of the Pops. Take 5 did really well for the band stateside reaching the billboard alternative top 5.

Northside hit the Shiiine On weekender for our 10-year celebration in November. The band were also on our inaugural line up in 2015.
