    PLAYLIST: The Farm

The Farm’s Sunday afternoon sets on the Main Stage at Minehead and one song in particular have been big highlights, Shiiine on legendary status guaranteed.

The final day can be a tricky period at any festival when thoughts are turning towards the pending doom of it ending, the weekend excess starting to wrestle with mind and body. The Farm and their jubilant set of ‘Spartacus’ classics and singles provide the perfect antidote. Thumping versions and reworking of ‘Groovy Train and ‘Stepping Stone’ sound better than ever, ‘Feel The Love’ and ‘Love No Colour’ a timeless anthem more relevant than ever.

‘All together Now’ a song wrote about the First World War truce on Christmas day 1914 originally called ‘No Man’s Land’ when recorded nearly a decade earlier takes on another life under that big top roof in Somerset. A song with so much poignancy in today’s social climate and the modern world we live in takes on new a meaning and feeling. Segwaying into Sister Sledge ‘We Are Family’ the song encapsulates the weekend in those few minutes capturing the spirit and feeling of what Shiiine is about to many, good times and good feeling, new friendships and old ones rekindled, music lovers arms aloft with the  shared love of an era and genre. #shiiiinefamily
