Track of the Week: Jim Bob’A Song by Me’
This week is from a band (One of our favourites) that has had its foot on the peddle since the build-up to their last album nearly 18 months ago and gaining momentum!
Cast have put the graft in and find themselves in a well-deserved luxurious sweet spot in their career spanning over 30 years. Always recognised and caps doffed by their peers as a brilliant live band and JP as a songwriter, they can celebrate the 3oth anniversary of their debut milestone album “All Change” while simultaneously producing and releasing some of their finest new work. The band have picked up where “Love Is the Call” ended and released a thumper of a new single.
Poison Vine features the vocals of the legend PP Arnold (no introduction needed) JP and PP trade vocals over this glorious high tempo and uplifting stomper. No official word on a new album just yet, but the signs and stars look they could be aligning for something special.
Cast are now embarking as special guests and mates on the monumental Oasis tour around the UK before heading over stateside to play some of their own headline dates and the biggest stadiums around as guests of the Gallaghers.
The All Change 30 tour begins in the Uk in October- and we are absolutely made up to have the band come and play our Shiine on Weekender along the way. Cast will headline and close our 10th annual event in Minehead, it promises to be a very special weekend.
Poison Vine is out now on all the usual streaming sites.
If you want to come and see Cast Play as part of our 10th anniversary weekender. Head over to www.shiiineon.com for full line up information and book accommodation and ticket packages…. Don’t miss out!
