TRACK OF THE WEEK: The Farm ‘World Without You’

This week totw comes from The Farm on the eve and imminent release of their first new album of material in over 30 years.

World Without You is the next single from the highly anticipated album Let the Music (Take Control) It contains all the energy and infectious chorus as a Farm standard while the lyrics contain a sadness and reflection of lost musical heroes, influences and icons.

I wrote these lyrics after Bowie passed away,” he says. “I was so upset when he died, I was trying to imagine a world without him because he seemed immortal when I was young. One of the lines in it ‘take me into the light’ were apparently Lou Reed’s last words, so I thought that was fitting to include them.”

The album is released on Friday the 20^{th of} June – a day that will be capped off with a special live performance at their home city of Liverpool at the Jacaranda. If you are lucky there maybe a few tickets left. Full details on the band’s website below.
