Track of the Week: Reverend and the Makers ‘Late Night Phonecall’
TRACK OF THE WEEK: Space Monkeys: Keep on trippin on (Beat Thief’s 2025 rework)
TRACK OF THE WEEK: KEELEY ‘Forever Froze’ (Magus Mix)
This week is from an artist who went down a storm at this year’s weekender, playing to a packed Saturday afternoon at Inn on The Green against some heavy hitter on the other stages.
Keeley have taken the opportunity to explore some of their music tastes and influences for this release and delve straight into the dance music spectrum to great effect with a remix of their album track “Forever Froze” by their producer Alan Maguire under his alter ego Magus….
Keeley Moss explains… “As incurable music obsessives, my bandmates and I are big fans of the electrifying energy and pulsating power that the best dance music has to offer. We’ve fantasized about how it might be to have a song of ours subjected to a radical remix treatment, but one that would retain the songcraft at the heart of our music, and one that wouldn’t suppress the singular concept that’s unique to our songs but would actually afford it a new form of flight. One that would soar with a life-affirming roar like the most exultant club tracks do. The song we felt would have the most potential to achieve this is ‘Forever Froze’, our most energetic and vibrant track, and yet one of our darkest. Who better than to unlock the untapped potential within this song than our producer Alan Maguire under his remixing alter ego Magus?
Forever Froze (Magus mix) is released Friday 6th December (We have had a preview – it is wort the wait)
