This week is from Newport’s very own indie jangle pop mainstays The Darling Buds. Their return with new material sees them doing what they do at their ebullient best with their unmistakeable melodic sparkle while also sounding completely at home in 2026.

“Lost Time” driven by chiming guitars and the soaring melodies of Andrea Lewis’s instantly recognisable vocals is the second single from their upcoming new album and first since 2017.   

The new twelve track album SAME SUN / SAME SKY is due at the very end of July via the Cherry Red records imprint with pre-orders now open on the record label and bands social media channels.

It’s great to have them and their effortless indie charm back with new music.
