This week’s track is from the brand new gang in town and music collective Mantra Of The Cosmos. The brainchild of Zak Starkey with fellow Cosmos members Shaun Ryder Bez and Andy Bell.
So that’s Happy Mondays, Black Grape, RIDE, Oasis , The Who and Johnny Marr to name a few.
“Gorilla Guerilla “ the first Mantra single has elements and echoes of the members respective own musical output while creating their own huge sonic cosmos soundscape. Think Black Grape listening to the Chemical Brothers channelling the spirit of Lee Scratch Perry and your on the right track.
With a low key warm up gig in soho taken care of , next stop has MOTC hitting the Glade stage at Glastonbury for a headline slot of Psychedelic Cosmic alchemy to look forward to.
There is an album on the way soon and we have heard a few tracks , it’s ace !
