Track Of The Week: Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band  ‘Ciao Ciao Bambino’

This year’s final track of the week goes to one of most gifted and talented songwriter and musicians we have the pleasure of listening to in modern times.

Micks output often punctuated by elongated gaps between some absolute classic songs – has been made up for in recent times. Two of the finest albums of the last decade will be followed up in the new year a brand new offering.

The first single from the forthcoming album “Ciao Ciao Bambino” has been produced by Bill Ryder Jones.

Mick on the new single “’Ciao Ciao Bambino’ came to me one night when I was thinking about the first words I ever heard. It was a song called ‘Ciao Ciao Bambino’ that my mum used to sing to me when I was a baby. The song then kinda evolved from there and became a journey through time.”

In the meantime the brilliant “Here’s Tom With The Weather” by Shack is getting a long awaited vinyl reissue.
