Track of the Week: Keyside “Michael (What’s your call?)”
Track of the Week: The Spitfires ‘Better the Devil You Know’
This week is from a band we are more than happy to see return to the fold. After a 3 year hiatus / split they are back with a vengeance and what sounds like a whole bunch of new music in the Billy Sullivan songwriting cannon.
The single is now available digitally with a very ltd 7” vinyl in the offering with the added bonus of physical release only A Man Out of Time (Le superhomard remix)
“The song is about the current situation in the Middle East,” explains Sullivan. “But it really relates to all forms of war. Who can believe that, in 2025, we’re still seeing countries torn apart and thousands of people killed, whether due to religion or pure greed? The honest amongst us will recognise who is turning a blind eye to it all, making the choice to put profit before peace. Arms deals and relationships with power take precedence over human life”
Spitfires will be hitting the road around the UK & Ireland in April and May.
Details can be found on the band’s social platforms along with Ltd edition 7” order details.
