Track of the Week: HI FI Sean ‘Waiting For The Sun’

This weeks TOTW is something the world needs right now, a euphoric gospel vibe and sly and the family stone-tinged big tune to soundtrack our summer days. Sean has also come sunshine up with a brilliant cosmic Psychedelic video to accompany the single.

HI FI Sean just seems to have the knack and timing of unleashing a big tune just when you need it. His recent work with David McAlmont should be something I would implore you to go and check out, and who can forget “Testify” with Crystal Waters…Absolute banger!

“I wanted to make the positive, the most uplifting, the most euphoric track I could muster. I was walking my dogs one morning and this nursery rhyme style phrase kept going round in my head and I rushed home and started to write it. Musically it’s taken me a year on and off to get where I want with all the right musicians and singers. I was in no rush as I just wanted to make for myself the perfect sounding record and basically just get what was in my head nailed.”

Sean Dickson will be heading to our 10 years of Minehead weekender with his reformed band of brothers, The Soup Dragons. After a few years and shout outs on socials of ask “The Soup Dragons to play” The reformation has aligned and fell into place perfectly to join us for our 10-year celebration this year.
